FARMER FOR A DAY
Be a Farmer For a Day
Come get a glimpse of what it takes to run a farm! Kids aged 7 and up can come and help with farm chores, which may include mucking stalls, cleaning rabbit cages, moving animals out to pastures, filling troughs and waters, filling animals' feeders, woods clean up, etc. Check-in will be 9:15-9:30am, and kids will put in a couple hours' work before breaking for lunch and swimming in our pool. The day will finish around 1:30pm. We will provide lunch for the kids, however if you have dietary restrictions, you're welcome to bring your own.
We can do this for groups of 10-15 kids. These can be neighbors, friends, family, church groups, homeschool groups, Scouts, or any other groupings. If you don't have a group to sign up with, you can join a group with other families. We recommend this for 7+, however if you have a younger child interested please reach out to layna@hephzibahfarms.com and we can see if it will be a good fit for them. An adult presence is required for anyone under 13, but adults will not be charged. The cost is $50 a kid.

FAQ's
Q: Do parents have to stay?
For kids over 7 years old, parents have the option to drop off or stay for the day. Kids under 7 will need a parent accompanying them.
Q: What happens if it rains/snows? Is the tour canceled?
We have two beautiful barns we can move animals into if the weather requires, however our indoor spaces do limit the size of the groups we are able to take. If you have any concerns, we are happy to help you reschedule your visit!
