Farm School: 3 Hour Program
Available spots
Service Description
Farm School is an experience based class for kids to learn both academics and life skills. They'll study biology by growing spinach, practice reading comprehension as they learn how to care for plants and animals, and review important math by cooking farm-to-table recipes. Our program is chock full of exciting activities, from foraging to extracting honey to making cheese from fresh milk. Lessons are adapted to be appropriate for each age group so kids of all ages can learn together, with older students going more in depth into the material. This is a drop off program, so students must be okay to be without a parent for 3 hours. We recommend it for age 6 and up, but if you have a younger child you think would do well, you are welcome to register them. Students will need to bring a snack or lunch as well as close toed, weather appropriate shoes, and weather appropriate clothing. There will be a parents night after the session ends for students to present on what they've learned, as well as material for them to do at home so you can stay up to date on what we're studying.
