"All About Alpacas" Thursday 10-11am
Learn about alpacas in this educational and hands-on class!
Service Description
This unit study will give a general overview of alpacas as both wild and domestic animals. Students will learn about where alpacas come from, the difference between them and their cousins the llamas, what they've been domesticated for, and much more! Through their lessons, they'll also engage with broader scientific concepts such as habitat, ecosystems, and genetics. Each week will include getting hands-on with our alpacas, including our new baby! The class meets once a week for four weeks, and each class runs roughly an hour long. This class is recommended for ages 6+ because younger children may struggle with attention span for the hour long lesson. If you have a younger child you think would be interested and not have a problem sitting through an hour long class, you are welcome to sign them up.
